Good catch Cajun. I'll be watching.

BTW -- If Hodges hit even a little bit in one of these games, the Dodgers are World Champions-1952.

And Hodges is already in the Hall of Fame. Thanks for the reminder CC.

Without a doubt.

It is my firm conviction, that Bill Mazeroski is in the HOF, because of game 7 in 1960 and Gil isn't because of his ofer in 1952.

Are these actual TV footage or a compilation of newsreel clips. I remember watching the 1958 Colte- Giants championshoip game and it was mostly a compilation of newsreel footage and still shots.

We will soon find out, but it is my understanding they are actual game footages.

I watched the 1952 Game Six in its entirety. I'll watch Game Seven soon. (I saved both games with my DVR). I hope you guys watched it too, as I have a lot of comments regarding the telecast. Did you notice that the pitchers did not come to a full stop when checking baserunners? All of the Dodgers' righthanded hitters step in the bucket (big time). Although he was never booed, the fans gave Gil Hodges the sarcastic cheer when he fouled a pitch off late in the game. Gil was pinch-hit for later in the game (Rocky Nelson). Nobody was fooling Duke. Reese's sac bunt was horrible--he tried to bunt for a hit--bad play. Rizzuto left his glove in the field between innings. Snider was graceful as a ballet dancer in center. Empty seats in left field. Attendance 30,037 because the Dodgers wouldn't sell the tickets in strips. In the Dodgers' 7th, Billy Loes singles. He calls for his jacket on the bases. The jacket is the same one I have with the leather sleeves. Dressen's jersey was tucked in so tightly that the bottom of his number 7 was in his pants. Hopefully Game Five will be found too, as Mel and Red kept saying what a great game it was.

I agree with you Tony, the only big thing Maz did was the homer in 1960 WS while Gil had a very good career except for 1952 WS. Yes it was on the big stage but I don't think so much weight should be put on one WS , in his other World Series he hit .318 and had an ob avg of .376.

Red got me curious about Billy Loes' original last name (Semertzis). The links were dead but I found out from the browser what it was:

Intertesting stuff CC. Billy looked really skinny in the '52 WS. Semertzis had a big pumping motion for a thin-as-a-rail pitcher.
