Now, thats what I'm talking about, great job Kramer. It looks like Max Lanier's cap has been air brushed into a Giants cap, from maybe a Boston Braves cap?

All the hats should be black with an orange NY, the Giants were royal blue with white lettering before 1949, Lanier played for the Cardinals until 1952. I don't know why they didn't airbrush the whole hat black and make the letters smaller.

I love looking at these great cards, I have most Dodgers, Giants and Yankees from the 1950's and some from 1940's.

I love the Giants old cards. I own more than a few (plus a couple of yearbooks). I never hated the Giants (until Barry Bonds came along). Davey Williams was one of my favorites.

Wasn't Max Lanier one of the players that went to the Mexican League, along wih Maglie, Mickey Owens and a few others?
