I see BBF has gone to a new format. It certainly looks different.

I guess they have removed the unused accounts. I can not even enter the site anymore. In fact it was the first time in about half a year that I wanted to enter.

I still don't understand why you can't get into the site, Chris, anyone should be able to type in the address and visit the site as a visitor. I don't have to log in to read the posts.

I CANNOT invite Jackie42.....he was BANNED from there (twice).

I use to post at BBF old rare Brooklyn Dodger photos I found...(when Jackie42 was still there). I guess he felt threatened or something by someone other than himself posting photos...so he would IM me nasty msgs telling me what he thought of me and demanding me to leave BBF...haha!

He prob has kicked the bucket by now, it prob happened as he was standing on the deck attached to his trailer in southern Florida somewhere while he was screaming at some kids for playing baseball with aluminum bats too close to his designated trailer lot. :(

When I think of Grumpier Old Men...I get nice thoughts. When I think of Jackie42....I feel pity.

Jackie42 (AKA LeoD) is (was?) actually Arnie Siegel who lives (lived?) in Hampton, VA after moving from NJ (originally from Bklyn). Arnie was born on August 1,1932. He was a drummer who lost his wife to cancer some years back. Arnie was on a bunch of medications which, sometimes he took, and sometimes he didn't. Always seemingly in a rotten mood, he could screw up a wet dream. BB-F banned him three times (Jackie42, LeoD, and billyboy); we (here at BDM) have banned him three or four times. A royal pain in the ass.

I recently sent Arnie an E-Mail, the address was still functional, but I never received a reply.

His last post anywhere I can find was back in Sept. '09.

Like I said his E-Mail was still active as of a couple of months ago. Maybe I will try again.

I see Greg DiGiovanna posted at BBF again. I sent him a PM and invited him to join us over here.

I've accidentally stumbled across some references to my name and the BBF dispute. I also noted that "nazis" came up and I could not figure out the context or who was supposed to have said what. I will be happy to answer any questions about what I can remember regarding my departure from that board.

What is Fevergate, and what is an emiss? Apparently, I have been out of touch for a very long time. I am guessing that Fevergate refers to the brouhaha that resulted in my suspending the entire Baseball Fever board permanently. Now please explain emiss so that I can answer your question.

"Emiss" is Yiddish for "the Truth." Roth spells it with an "e", and Bellow with an "i."

Today's Yiddish dictionaries list it as: EMES.......meaning TRUTH.

Emes, I know. Emiss sounds like an electronic letter, a missive. Shlevine and I decided to drop off the Fever board in response to the stifling censorship that we had experienced, mostly from macker and a brave fellow running the Phillies' board whose name I think is Allbright (heavy irony there). We decided to post one last time in the wee hours of the morning, hoping that it would at that time have the greatest chance of remaining on the board long enough so that least a few people could read it. The post said that we wanted to post but were waiting for macker to tell us what to post. That was it. It contained no threats, no obscenities. I will see if I can dig up the exact wording. (Shlevine might have it.) I kept copying the post to as many forums as I could until the censors caught up to me and deleted them all. I think the posts remained on the board for about 15 minutes. And that was it.

Now that I think about it, we were also responding to harassment from various plants who visited the forums we posted on; Willis something or other comes to mind, a really nasty person. What legends and lies and exaggerations have been told about this innocuous incident?

Why don't we invite someone from the Fever board, perhaps the great Sean himself, to reveal the exact wording of what I posted? I don't mind, and I see no reason why Sean would.

Or perhaps macker himself (is he still in clownface?) would like to enlighten everybody about what I wrote.

Macker is not involved here at BDM.
We take your story as gospel.
Thank you.
