Going back to the picture above, if you look at the press box, there is a black box, with what looks like an H and E. I never noticed that before. Apparently the official scorer would use that to signal a hit or error. I knew there were lights on the Schaefer scoreboard that would signify a hit or error, but was never aware of the one on the press box.
