Hello everyone:
In the next few weeks, I will be taking full measure of all my reprint baseball cards (mostly Bowman). All of these cards are reprints in great condition. I even have a beautiful Bowman set of 1950 NFL football cards. I will separate all my doubles and triples and make them available at very reasonable prices here on this page. Watch for my "sale"..................................
Pete

I just saw the 1950 Bowman football set--only 81% complete--on sale at Ebay for the buy-it-now price of $30,000 (yes $30,000). I got my 1950 football (100% complete) reprint set as a free thrown-in when I bought 6 baseball Bowman reprint sets. I figure I saved OVER $30,000.

Reprints are a beautiful thing for real fans (not wheelers-and-dealers).

You can spend that saved $30,000 on the Babe Ruth autographed baseball that gets listed from time to time on eBay.

I was thinking the same thing. VooDoo economics. Rob Peter to pay Paul. (trickle down mama.........or how Doris got her oats).

Everyone collects what they want, if the reprints are good enough for you that's great, I like the reprints because I know I can't afford the real thing but I also like to have some of the real cards from each set.

I hope all of us take advantage of this area to sell surplus items. Give our members a chance at them first. As I have said before, I like to have the originals, but I love the re-prints, they are more durable and can be looked at over and over again, without wear and tear.

I also hope all members let us get a chance to buy their doubles or other items they want to get rid of first here at Brooklyn Dodger Memories.

Yeah if you have some Bowman baseball reprints from that era, I'd be interested in taking a look at them, as there are some I'd like to send to the players through the mail. Much cheaper than buying the originals.

I gave a couple of Bowman sets (reprints) away as birthday presents this month.

I wish all the sets from the late 40's through the 60's were available in re-print form.
