Nice signs Pete if I'm not mistaken the team photo was in stand up cardboard like a 3D and worth alot of money now, they were a Dodgers sponsor Tony not Mets.

We were so wrapped up in Miss Rheingold that we forgot that they had in later years Schaefer as a sponsor. I love those Miss Rheingold contests a girl I knew was in one of those contests I think she finished second I don't know how she was absolutely gorgeous.

Schaefer was an advertiser with the Mets, in the early years but not the Beer that sponsered the Mets. Schaefer thought they were going to be the official beer of the Mets, but were so sure they had the contract that they were very casual abot locking up the deal. Rheingold persued the Mets very hard and stunned Schaefer by getting the contract.
Any idea what year this was, Pete? I do not remember that at all. Ballentine, long associated with the Yankees, was an advertiser at Ebbets Field in the late 40's.
