good one.

once you realize Minneapolis is just West of the Mississippi, you got it.

game seven, to me, always answered the barroom question who would give the ball to if you had to win one game. Koufax, pitching on two days rest (not a typo) three hits a very, very good hitting Twins team while recording his second straight ten K shutout.

I just needed a quick brush up on my geography, and a quick call to the history teacher next door and I was able to figure it out. Those were the days, pitching on 2 days rest. Koufax was at his very best in that 3 year period.

Imagine asking C.C. or Johan to go on 2 days rest? Well......maybe Johan would do it, but I doubt it.

During the last 6 weeks of the !951 season, it's amazing how often Dressen used Don Newcombe, both starting and in relief.
