The truck driver did resemble Tonypug he could have been his uncle lol. Pete we couldn't stand drinking our beer warm we did anything we could to get it chilled, some pub owners just said our customers like it room temperature. But others like Rose Rose who owned a pub in London found out we liked it chilled and every night had our beer cold.

The europeans drink their beer at room temperature, if you go in a bar it is on a sheet of ice but not enclosed so the only thing that gets cold is the bottom. I saw a guy delivering beer in Germany and he would drink a half of pint at each delivery stop, he had those bottles with the rubber plug where you could reclose or reseal the bottle.
That is a misunderstanding. Europeans (at least most) drink their beer cold. British drink their beer at room temperature. Sure, officially they belong to Europe, but IMO they are a bunch of island inhabitants.

A couple of the old-time local sponsors that come to mind are Narragansett for the Red Sox (Hey neighbor...have a 'Gansett!") and Hudepohl for the Reds. I think they've both been gone from the ballpark scene a long time ago.
YBF, the battle between Anheuser-Busch and Budvar was going on for years in various courts. The conflict stretches back over a century, and it's too complicated for me to figure out and know I'm being accurate.

Wasn't it called "the beer of kings"?, and Bud pinched that and used "the king of beers"?.....that's what I've read.

Pete the beer in Europe was very good but I always wanted my beer chilled no matter how good. I use to enjoy the dark and light or the black and white, that was a half glass of light lager and half of the dark sort of bock beer (which we use to get here in Sept or Oct but over there it was around all year long).

Bock beer is groce.
If you ever visit Belgium, Antwerp to be exact, you have to try De Koninck. The colour is a bit like red/brown, but it is delicious. BTW, when you visit Antwerp, you can visit me too. I live about 45 minutes driving from Antwerp.
