There seems to be a large increase in injuries to high profile players this season. I wonder if this has anything to do with recent steroid use. One of the negatives of steroid use is an increase in injuries, stress fractures,etc.. Philip Hughes of the Yankees coughs and suffers a stress fracture in a rib. Whats up with that? It sure makes you stop and wonder.

Yes I think steroids built muscle but also break the body down, the result is all these injuries to guys that can't use them anymore.

It sure seems to be that way. I haven't heard of any positive tests recently and that surprises me.Is MLB waiting until later in the year to make them public?

Maybe after all the bad press they are holding back some information or the players stopped using because they fear being caught. Once they use steroids they are breaking down something in their body and it could all be coming out after they stop.

Alot of players have stopped using, which I think is why theren are so many injuries to big name players.

I think you're correct Tony I know the bad affects of steroids first hand because I had to take them for my crohn's disease for over 20 years until they came out with other medicine to help me. These guys care about today and don't think about tomorrow and now it is tomorrow and they are hurting from all the years of abuse.

I don't think we willever know the full list of the players who juiced. MLB for sure doesn't want us to know.WE are left to guess based on what we see, and that isn't fair to the players who didn't cheat.
