The above photo is strange. First of all, why are the Reds wearing their road uniforms in Crosley Field? Secondly, Frank Robinson is wearing his home cap with the road uni. Evidently, this was a 1961 World Series workout during an off day.

My father used to attend Crosley Field when it was called Redland Field. He was studying at the University of Dayton, graduating in 1929. The brand new version of Fenway Park had a uphill slope in leftfield also. The slope was named "Duffy's Cliff" after the Boston leftfielder at the time.

You'd think the two 1957 color photos would be from the same game, maybe vs. the Pirates. But look at the scoreboard. It doesn't make too much sense: the first one the line score shows the visitors at 1-4-1 and the Reds at 4-6-0. Then the second photo shows the visitors at 3-6-0 and the Reds still at 4-6-0. It couldn't be that the official scorer changed his mind and ruled the error a hit as the Reds are still at 6 hits.
OK, guys, recreate the actual scenario of the two photos....are they from two different games?....the two same teams?
I think these are 2 different games. The umpire numbers look different. The fans look different. The times on the clock are about 3 hours apart, and that doesn't add up either.
Now judging from the times on the clock and the inning each game was in, perhaps this is a doubleheader. I worked for an hour with a magnifying glass to get the answer for Number 4.
