Isn't it amazing how much fun and enjoyment you can have, when a group of people respect each other?

Yes, particularly today when we went in all different directions on this election but we all come together behind our new president and hope he will lead us out of our difficulties.

I have finally gotten around to buying the modestly priced beer stocked at Trader Joe's. It's called Simpler Times, and it goes for just $4.99 a six -- $3.99 if you buy cans.

I'll come back with a word once I've tried it. The name alone, however, makes me think of a day at the ballpark with organ music playing.

Wouldn't it be great if every MLB city could have a local beer as a sponsor, like in the old days. Yankees and Ballentine, Mets and Rheingold, etc.

I have sampled the Simpler Times lager (they also have pilsener). It's a perfectly decent brew, nothing special, but does the job of refreshing with a fair bit of flavor. By the way, it's also 6.2%...

I'll give it a try. I'm always searching for a decent drinking brew. Thanks.

I quaffed another cold Simpler Times the other day and it reawakened dormant memories of Schaefer.
